With Jaguar Smart Key, you can forget about the days that you had to dig into your pockets or bags to locate your car keys. It's a feature that makes your life simpler while adding an additional layer of security to your Jaguar SUV. This upgrade is included in the $1,200 Convenience package that you will receive if you drive a brand new Jaguar XE S, XE R Dynamic or XE R-Dynamic. This upgrade will give you the option to use your Jaguar Smart Key fob or the buttons on the door handle to unlock the doors of your car and also deactivate its alarm. Once you're ready to enter just walk into the vehicle using your Smart Key fob or key on your person and grasp any door handle.
Your Jaguar Smart Key will also include an icon that allows you to lock your doors and activate the alarm, or you can press it twice to "double lock" your vehicle, which will require an unlock key or a key to start it even if someone breaks a window to gain access. You can also select an unlock icon which will turn on the headlights for up to 25 seconds. A luggage icon will unlock your trunk and a red triangular image will trigger the panic alert.

The Jaguar Activity Key is an innovative wristband that eliminates the need to carry around your Jaguar SUV's traditional key fob in your pocket. It's lightweight that's shockproof and waterproof accessory that you can slip onto your wrist when you're ready take your adventures to the next level.
It's really simple. After you lock your car using the standard key fob and shut all doors, you press and hold your Activity Key against the "J" of the Jaguar script on the tailgate for 30 seconds. The hazard lights on your vehicle will flash and the primary key inside the cabin will not be activated.

The Jaguar Keyless Entry System
The proximity sensor on the Smart Key knows when you are within a certain distance of your Jaguar. You can unlock your Jaguar by pressing the release button in the luggage compartment or one of the door handles if you are within 39 inches.
